Alternate Easter Weekend Saturday Ride –New Road Captain Practice Ride–Departs HOD

Destination: Columbiana-Montevallo-West Blocton-Helena (Breaks in Montevallo & Green Pond, Quick Lunch stop @Lemley’s Tiger Hut, 710 Main St., West Blocton, AL)
Ride Information: This ride departs from HoD. The rider's meeting will be at 10:00 AM. KSU will follow. This Alternate Easter Weekend “Saturday Ride” is open to any HOG members not joining the chapter’s earlier Easter Weekend ride to Lynchburg, TN. The purpose of this ride is to “Ride and Have Fun” (as Big G would say) and to give new road captains Paul, Steven, and Hayel some more experience organizing and leading rides for the chapter. All current HOG chapter members are welcome.
Ride Theme: Easter Weekend Saturday Ride / New Road Captain Practice Ride
Ride Plan: The ride will cover approximately 111 miles (+/-) in a large loop with a couple of breaks and a planned quick lunch stop at Lemley’s Tiger Hut in West Blocton. The route is all back roads from HOD to Columbiana then on 25 to Montevallo for the first break proceeding to West Blockton via some amazing roads through the Cahaba River National Forest (Highway 17, 22, 10, Marvel, Bulldog Bend, and Cahaba River Dr.) returning through Woodstock, Green Pond along AL-5, Eastern Valley Road and the scenic Grey Hill Road/Hwy 13, Hwy 52 through Helena to HOD (all back roads). Riding time approximately 3 hours plus stops (breaks in Montevallo and Green Pond, quick lunch in West Blockton).

(As with all rides, remember to arrive on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a full fuel tank. You must present your current HOG membership card. Rain cancels the ride. Allow yourself enough time for personal needs (restroom, socializing, etc.)
Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member. All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
Impairment Policy: The consumption and use of alcohol is a serious personal responsibility involving the safety of family, riding friends and the individual HOG member. Alcohol consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior. Heart of Dixie Chapter #1590 does not allow the use of alcohol or drugs before or during a riding event* and does not furnish alcohol at Chapter rides. Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride. Riders using alcohol or drugs while riding will be asked to leave the ride. It is the responsibility of each Template Chapter member to support the consistent enforcement of this policy
Photography Policy: Photographing, filming, recording and videotaping of activities and events will be occurring Heart of Dixie Chapter events. By entering the H.O.G.® event area, you irrevocably grant permission to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® and its agents to photograph, film, record and/or videotape you and use (and authorize the use of) your name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical or other information in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
