Highway 25 Sunday Scouting Ride – Departs HOD

Destination: HOD-Chelsea-Vandiver-Vincent-Wilsonville-Columbiana-Joinertown-HOD (Break at Mr. Paul’s Feelgood Convenience Store in Wilsonville and/or Lunch stop (TBD).

Ride Information: This ride departs from and returns to HoD. The rider's meeting will be at 12:30 PM. KSU will follow. This “Highway 25 Sunday Scouting Ride” is open to all HOG members. The purpose of this ride is to “Ride and Have Fun” (as Big G would say) and enjoy some of the best “twisty” and “scenic” roads in central Alabama! All current HOG chapter members are welcome.

Ride Theme: “Highway 25 Sunday Scouting Ride”

Ride Plan: The ride will cover approximately 95 miles (+/-) in a large loop with a rest break at the famous Mr. Paul’s Feelgood Convenience Store in Wilsonville to split the trip up and/or allow for a quick lunch (TBD). The route is all back roads from HOD to Chelsea on 11 to Vandiver on Dunnavant Valley and 25 (Alabama’s “Tail of the Dragon”) continuing on 25 through the towns of Vincent, Harpersville, Wilsonville, Columbiana, to Joinertown and Firetower roads to 39 and 11, and then back to HOD through Oak Mountain (all back roads). Riding time is approximately 2.5 hours plus stop(s) (1-2 planned stops for a break and/or quick lunch, TBD).

(As with all rides, remember to arrive on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a full fuel tank. You must present your current HOG membership card. Rain delays or cancels the ride. Allow yourself enough time for personal needs (restroom, socializing, etc.).

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.  All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.

Impairment Policy: The consumption and use of alcohol is a serious personal responsibility involving the safety of family, riding friends and the individual HOG member. Alcohol consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior. Heart of Dixie Chapter #1590 does not allow the use of alcohol or drugs before or during a riding event* and does not furnish alcohol at Chapter rides. Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride. Riders using alcohol or drugs while riding will be asked to leave the ride. It is the responsibility of each Template Chapter member to support the consistent enforcement of this policy

Photography Policy: Photographing, filming, recording and videotaping of activities and events will be occurring Heart of Dixie Chapter events. By entering the H.O.G.® event area, you irrevocably grant permission to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® and its agents to photograph, film, record and/or videotape you and use (and authorize the use of) your name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical or other information in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
