Destination: The Back Porch Restaurant, 270 Marina Dr Talladega, AL, United States, Alabama 35160.

Ride Information: This ride departs from HoD. The rider's meeting will be at 10:00 AM. KSU will follow. The purpose of this “Friday at the Lake Ride” is to “Ride and Have Fun” (as Big G would say) and enjoy one of the best “twisty” and “scenic” roads in central Alabama (Highway 25) and have lunch at the Back Porch Restaurant (One of Joe Lay’s favorites and he’s been on my case to schedule a lunch ride there)! All current HOG chapter members (and guests with signed waiver) are welcome.

Ride Theme: “Friday at the Lake Ride”

Ride Plan: Ride Plan: The ride will cover approximately 55 miles (+/-) (one way) from HOD through Chelsea, Mt. Laural, Vandiver, Sterrett, and Vincent, in route to Logan Martin Lake for lunch at The Back Porch Restaurant and back to HOD (optional/TBD). The route is all back roads from HOD to Oak Mountain to 52 to 11 to Old 280/Narrows to 41 to 25 to 60 to 54 to Renfro Road to Willingham Road to Marina Dr. Riding time to the restaurant is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes (+/-). Road captain will return on backroads through Chelsea to Helena/Hoover area.

You must have current HOG membership in HOGSCAN (or signed waiver). Rain cancels the ride. Allow yourself enough time for personal needs (restroom, socializing, etc.).

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.  All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.

Impairment Policy: The consumption and use of alcohol is a serious personal responsibility involving the safety of family, riding friends and the individual HOG member. Alcohol consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior. Heart of Dixie Chapter #1590 does not allow the use of alcohol or drugs before or during a riding event* and does not furnish alcohol at Chapter rides. Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride. Riders using alcohol or drugs while riding will be asked to leave the ride. It is the responsibility of each Template Chapter member to support the consistent enforcement of this policy

Photography Policy: Photographing, filming, recording and videotaping of activities and events will be occurring Heart of Dixie Chapter events. By entering the H.O.G.® event area, you irrevocably grant permission to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® and its agents to photograph, film, record and/or videotape you and use (and authorize the use of) your name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical or other information in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
